Unveiling the RCI-Royal Caribbean ICON Ship: Discover the Exciting New Entertainment and Dining Experiences on Star OTS
RCI-Royal Caribbean International is set to launch its latest vessel, the Star of the Seas, from Port Canaveral in August 2025. This ship, marking the second unit of the ICON Class series, promises an exciting range of entertainment and dining options designed to enrich the travel experience.
Guests will enjoy five signature performances that encompass various artistic forms. One standout feature is the debut of Back to the Future: The Musical at sea, a dynamic adaptation of the beloved film that will include live music, stunning choreography, and impressive special effects. Additionally, the onboard production Create will introduce audiences to KRE-8, a robot that explores creativity through diverse art forms. The AquaTheater will host two engaging shows: Pirates & Mermaids, showcasing an entertaining narrative through dance, artistic swimming, and diving, and Torque, highlighting athleticism in a high-energy display featuring synchronized swimmers and dancers. Lastly, the Absolute Zero ice arena will present SOL, an ice show capturing the journey of the sun with incredible stunts and visuals.
Culinary options on the Star OTS will encompass over 40 different dining venues. A unique feature, the AquaDome Market exclusive to the Icon Class, will offer five food stands, introducing three innovative concepts: Pig & Anchor Smokehouse, serving hearty smoked meats; Mai Thai, featuring Southeast Asian delicacies; and La Cocinita, offering traditional South American dishes. The Central Park neighborhood will introduce the Lincoln Park Supper Club, where guests can enjoy multi-course meals complemented by live jazz, along with established venues like Chops Grille for premium steaks and Izumi Hibachi & Sushi for Japanese cuisine. A special dining venue, the Celebration Table, will cater to private events and special occasions.
Operationally, the Star of the Seas will embark on 7-night itineraries covering the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including a visit to Royal Caribbean’s private Bahamian island, CocoCay. Starting December 2025, the ship will also call at the Royal Beach Club on Paradise Island, providing guests with diverse beach experiences.
