Carnival Miracle Sets Sail Again: Returns to Service with Exciting European Cruises After Refurbishment
Following a thorough drydock refurbishment at Navantia in Cadiz, Spain, Carnival Miracle has resumed operations, marking the start of Carnival Cruise Line’s summer European season for 2025. The ship reentered service from Lisbon, Portugal, after unveiling numerous technical and hospitality upgrades designed to enhance onboard experiences for guests.
The drydocking project encompassed both structural improvements and enhancements to guest experience. A notable new feature is the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, dedicated to military personnel and veterans, which is now available on 15 ships in the CCL fleet. Additionally, a redesigned Carnival Adventures store aims to facilitate better planning for shoreside excursions.
Renovations also transformed various public areas. The mini-golf course and nightclub received updates for better layout and functionality, while the casino was expanded to accommodate more guests and offer updated gaming options. Youth-focused areas, like the Camp Ocean program and teens club, were modernized with new interiors and additional activities. A new dedicated venue for Carnival’s Chef’s Table experience has been added on Deck 1, along with a newly introduced Dreams Studio for professional photography sessions.
Other facilities onboard, including the Cloud 9 Spa, Serenity adult-only sundeck, Club O2, JavaBlue Café, and the Lido Marketplace, also underwent refreshing updates.
Currently, Carnival Miracle is on a 7-day voyage from Lisbon, visiting ports in Spain like La Coruña and Bilbao, and France’s Le Verdon/Bordeaux and Le Havre/Paris. After this itinerary, the ship will reposition to Dover, England, to commence a series of extended voyages through the British Isles, Scandinavia, and the Baltic, lasting from 9 to 12 days.
Later this summer, Carnival Miracle will reposition to Civitavecchia/Rome for Mediterranean roundtrips covering destinations in France, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey. By November, the vessel is expected to return to the USA and will establish a new homeport in Tampa, Florida, for 6- to 8-day roundtrips throughout the Caribbean and The Bahamas.
