CCL-Carnival Announces 2025 Itinerary Changes: Grand Turk Replaced by Amber Cove (Dominicana)
CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has announced changes to its 2025 itineraries for the ships Carnival Venezia and Mardi Gras. Notably, the port of Grand Turk Harbour will be replaced with Amber Cove (Dominicana) on specific sailing dates.
The impacted departures for Carnival Venezia are on May 11th, May 26th, and June 9th, 2025, while Mardi Gras will alter its itinerary on June 7th. Although the exact reasons for the change were not disclosed, such adjustments are common in the cruise industry and can arise from scheduling conflicts or infrastructure issues.
Amber Cove, a private port operated by Carnival, features various amenities including a large pool, local Dominican cuisine, and adventurous excursions like zip-lining and exploring nearby attractions such as the 27 Waterfalls.
CCL has informed affected passengers of the changes and is offering a US$50 onboard credit for each stateroom. Additionally, any pre-purchased excursions for Grand Turk will either be adjusted to Amber Cove options or refunded if alternatives are not available.
Despite the port change, both Carnival Venezia, homeported in New York City, and Mardi Gras, based in Port Canaveral, will retain their overall cruise durations, though there might be slight adjustments to arrival and departure times.
Passengers are encouraged to check their updated itineraries and excursion options to stay informed about any further developments.
