Norwegian Luna Announces Exciting New Trans-Atlantic Crossing Route
The Norwegian Luna, currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard, is set to offer its first trans-Atlantic crossing prior to starting its inaugural season in Miami. Scheduled for launch in April 2026, the ship will embark on a 13-night repositioning voyage from Civitavecchia, Italy, departing on March 10, 2026. This journey includes a stop in Tangier, Morocco, before crossing the Atlantic and arriving at PortMiami on March 23, 2026.
Bookings for this sailing are now open to the general public through Norwegian’s website and travel agents. Following the repositioning voyage, Norwegian Luna will kick off its regular Caribbean and Bahamas cruise itineraries from Miami, beginning with a seven-night cruise on April 4, 2026. This itinerary includes stops in popular destinations such as Cozumel, Costa Maya, Harvest Caye, and Roatán.
After its maiden revenue sailing, Norwegian Luna will continue to operate weeklong cruises to the Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas, with an itinerary that features visits to Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Norwegian’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay. In early November, the ship will shift back to a Western Caribbean rotation, visiting ports in Mexico, Belize, and Honduras.
Norwegian Luna promises several exciting features comparable to its sister ship, the Norwegian Aqua, including the Aqua Slidecoaster, which combines elements of a rollercoaster and waterslide. The ship will also offer a diverse range of dining options, featuring Norwegian’s first Thai specialty restaurant, Sukhothai.
