Exploring Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean: Hapag-Lloyd’s ms EUROPA Winter 2025–2026 Voyage Schedule
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has announced that its luxury ship, the ms EUROPA, will return to southern Africa and the Indian Ocean during the winter season of 2025–2026. The itineraries will focus on exploring remote coastal areas, island nations, and culturally rich destinations, catering to a maximum of 400 guests with a nearly 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio.
The ms EUROPA features five dining venues, highlighting culinary offerings led by three-star chef Kevin Fehling. Guests will have the option for pre- and post-cruise land programs with experienced guides and tailor-made travel arrangements. There are also pricing incentives for booking multiple voyages.
One of the key itineraries, titled "Fascination Africa: Wilderness, Desert and Safari," is slated for November 21 to December 7, 2025. This 16-day journey will start from Cape Town, visiting notable coastal cities like Port Elizabeth and Durban, before heading to the Bazaruto Archipelago and Madagascar, including stops in Nosy Be and Antsiranana, and concluding in the Seychelles. Onboard entertainment will feature performances by South African artist Nomfusi.
Another itinerary, "Advent in Paradise," runs from December 7 to 20, 2025, and travels from the Seychelles to Mauritius, with stopovers in Madagascar and Réunion. Guests will be treated to activities focused on UNESCO World Heritage Sites, along with cultural performances and dance instruction from Joachim Llambi.
For those interested in a holiday experience, the "Christmas and New Year’s Eve under Palm Trees" package spans from December 20, 2025, to January 3, 2026. This 14-day voyage includes various shore activities and festive onboard entertainment, culminating in a New Year’s concert.
Another venture, "An Expedition to Madagascar," will take place from January 3 to 22, 2026, featuring expedition-style cruising with Zodiac landings and wildlife excursions, including a photographic safari in the Ngorongoro Crater.
Finally, from January 22 to February 7, 2026, an itinerary called "Safari Adventure, South Africa’s Highlights, and Golf Pro Stefan Quirmbach" will combine golf travel with nature and cultural experiences across several African locations.
