Margaritaville at Sea Expands Fleet: Welcoming the Costa Fortuna!

Margaritaville at Sea has announced its acquisition of the cruise ship Costa Fortuna from Costa Cruises. This new addition to their fleet is part of the company’s strategy to expand and meet the demands of a growing customer base. The Costa Fortuna, built in 2003, has a gross tonnage of 102,669 and can accommodate up to 3,470 passengers, significantly more than Margaritaville at Sea’s current offering, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, which accommodates around 1,308 guests.

Upon acquisition, extensive renovations are planned to align the ship with Margaritaville’s branding and guest experience standards. These refurbishments may include updates to staterooms, dining venues, and entertainment spaces. The renovations will follow the recent transformation of the Margaritaville at Sea Islander, formerly known as Costa Atlantica.

Details about the new name and homeport for the Costa Fortuna have yet to be disclosed, but Margaritaville at Sea plans to introduce new concepts and venues aboard the vessel to enhance the onboard experience. In the meantime, Costa Cruises will continue operating the Costa Fortuna until the integration is complete, with more information on the ship’s deployment and itineraries expected in the future.
