Carnival Reschedules Dry Dock: Impact on Upcoming Cruises
Just a few weeks after Carnival Magic’s dry dock was rescheduled, Carnival Cruise Line has announced similar scheduling changes for Carnival Conquest. Cruises aboard Carnival Conquest have been cancelled due to a revised dry dock schedule set for January 2026, impacting seven upcoming sailings. Affected guests received notification stating, “We are sorry to inform you that the above cruises, including yours, have been cancelled.”
Guests impacted by the cancellations, which include 3- and 4-night Bahamas itineraries, have been offered the option to rebook with price protection on comparable sailings in similar staterooms. Rebooked cruises do not have to be on Carnival Conquest, but must be of the same length as the cancelled itineraries. Travelers who choose to rebook will receive $50 onboard credit per person (up to $100 per stateroom) and Carnival will reimburse up to $200 for non-refundable flight change fees if applicable, provided documentation is submitted.
For those who opt not to book a different sailing, full refunds for cruise fares and any pre-purchased items will be processed after June 10, 2025. The reason for the rescheduling of the dry dock has not been disclosed, but could stem from several logistical challenges faced by the cruise line.
Similar issues were encountered recently with Carnival Magic and Carnival Horizon, which also experienced dry dock rescheduling that resulted in cancelled cruises. Carnival Magic’s changes included over a month of sailings being cancelled.
The scheduling dilemma has heightened speculation about the availability of new sailings for Carnival Conquest during her previously scheduled dry dock periods, potentially offering special event or casino cruises to travelers.
