G Adventures Set to Relaunch Exciting Arctic Cruise Program

G Adventures is set to relaunch its Arctic cruise program in June 2026, highlighted by the introduction of the Ocean Adventurer, which is being renamed Expedition. This move marks G Adventures’ first return to the Arctic since 2019 and comes with four new itineraries available for booking.

According to Bruce Poon Tip, the founder of G Adventures, this relaunch is a significant milestone for the company as both travelers and agents have been eagerly asking about its return to the Arctic. He expressed excitement about offering new itineraries that feature stunning coastlines and rich wildlife, making this the most diverse expedition program in G Adventures’ history.

A total of ten departures are planned for 2026 across four different itineraries, including the eight-day “Realm of the Polar Bear” and the 15-day “Arctic Highlights Southbound.” Each journey will provide opportunities to view polar bears and other wildlife, along with educational sessions featuring on-board experts, polar plunges, and experiences of the Arctic landscape and the midnight sun.

Additionally, five more trips that traverse regions including Scotland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Labrador are expected to be announced soon.

The relaunch aligns with G Adventures’ new expedition ship, which is scheduled to enter service in October 2025. Chartered from SunStone Ships, the former Ocean Adventurer has undergone significant renovations to improve its fuel efficiency while retaining the adventurous spirit that characterizes G Adventures’ polar journeys. The ship can accommodate 128 guests and promises a warm, community-focused atmosphere.
