Royal Caribbean Adjusts Serenade of the Seas’ Alaska Itineraries: What You Need to Know

Royal Caribbean International has announced changes to select itineraries for the Serenade of the Seas, particularly affecting its June 22, 2025 sailing in Alaska. Passengers were informed that the ship will now sail directly to Vancouver instead of including a second scenic cruising day in the Inside Passage. This decision aims to ensure a timely arrival in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The seven-night cruise, departing roundtrip from the Canada Place Cruise Terminal, will still include visits to key Alaskan destinations such as Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, and Sitka, alongside a scenic stop at Tracy Arm Fjord. However, port times for the Ketchikan stop have been adjusted; the ship will now arrive at 11:30 AM and depart at 6:00 PM, allowing ample time for exploration despite the changes.

Additionally, the June 8, 2025 departure from Vancouver has also seen alterations in its schedule, with Ketchikan’s port times modified to an arrival at 9:00 AM and a departure at 5:00 PM.

Royal Caribbean emphasized that these adjustments were necessary to avoid any delays and to maintain the schedule for arrivals in Vancouver.

The Serenade of the Seas, part of the Radiance class, has been in service since 2003 and is one of four Royal Caribbean ships currently operating in Alaska.
