Introducing the New Patriot: American Cruise Lines’ Exciting Addition to Their Fleet

The American Patriot is set to launch its inaugural season with American Cruise Lines (ACL) on June 21, 2025. Having recently completed successful sea trials, this 130-guest ship will embark on its maiden voyage from Boston, following the “Grand New England” itinerary.

The voyage, lasting 15-days, will explore several picturesque destinations along the New England coast, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, and New Hampshire. Passengers can look forward to visiting iconic locations like Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Gloucester, Provincetown, and Plymouth, as well as Portsmouth, Newport, Boothbay Harbor, Bar Harbor, Bath, Bangor, Portland, Rockland, and Camden.

Following its debut cruise, the American Patriot will continue this itinerary until early October. The ship is part of a five-ship fleet that ACL operates in the region and will also offer the “Cape Codder” and “Northeast Harbors” itineraries.

Later in October, the Patriots will transition to Chesapeake Bay before heading to Florida for its inaugural winter season. Beginning in late November, it will offer seven-night voyages through the Gulf Coast and the Florida Keys, departing from St. Petersburg, with stops in Punta Gorda, Marco Island, and Key West.

Built at a shipyard in Salisbury, Maryland, the American Patriot is the first in a new series of coastal vessels for ACL. Over the next 16 months, the company plans to introduce three additional ships, including the American Pioneer, which will debut later this year, followed by the American Maverick and the American Ranger in 2026. ACL has also announced the construction of two more riverboats, the American Encore and the American Anthem, set for delivery in 2026 and 2027 respectively.
