MSC World Asia to Launch Exciting 7-Night Mediterranean Voyages for Winter 2026-2027

MSC Cruises is set to unveil its latest World-class vessel, the MSC World Asia, with its inaugural Mediterranean sailings beginning on December 11, 2026. Constructed at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in France, MSC World Asia will embark on 7-night itineraries starting from Barcelona, visiting cities such as Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), Messina, and Valletta, with a modified route including Naples during the summer of 2027.

This ship, powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), follows MSC World Europa and MSC World America in the World-class series. It features design elements inspired by the rich cultures and landscapes of Asia, highlighted by a distinctive vertical plumb bow and a Y-shaped aft section that opens to a spacious outdoor promenade.

True to its theme, MSC World Asia will boast a Pan-Asian specialty restaurant, offering culinary delights from regions including Singapore, Thailand, Laos, and Indonesia. A notable design feature is its impressive 12-storey spiral dry slide called the Tree of Life, rising about 81.3 meters above the deck, providing an exciting descent for guests.

MSC Cruises plans to enhance its World-class fleet with three additional ships by 2030, with the MSC World Atlantic expected to launch in 2027, followed by World 5 and World 6 in 2029 and 2030, respectively. Overall, the MSC World Asia combines Mediterranean cruising with vibrant Asian cultural motifs, offering a unique and innovative sailing experience.
