Royal Caribbean Expands Royal Amplified Program: Major Upgrades Coming to Three Ships in 2026

RCI-Royal Caribbean has announced significant upgrades to three of its vessels as part of the Royal Amplified refurbishment program in 2026. The ships set for enhancements include Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas.

The planned upgrades will feature redesigned pool areas, more specialty dining options, new bars, entertainment spaces, and expanded stateroom choices.

Ovation of the Seas will debut revamped pool decks with private cabanas, new dining venues including Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, and entertainment spaces like the tiki-themed Pesky Parrot Bar and Sound Cellar, a music lounge. The ship is set to resume Alaskan itineraries in Spring 2026, featuring extended cruisetour packages.

Harmony of the Seas will undergo a redesign of its pool deck and introduce new culinary experiences, including the Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse. It will operate in both European and Caribbean itineraries.

Liberty of the Seas will see the addition of an escape room, reimagined pool areas, and dining venues such as El Loco Fresh and a Starbucks. Initially sailing from Southampton for Northern European routes, the ship will then reposition to Galveston for Western Caribbean voyages.

These upgrades follow enhancements to Allure of the Seas and are a part of Royal Caribbean’s ongoing efforts to modernize its fleet under the Royal Amplified initiative, which started in 2018. This initiative aims to provide contemporary experiences while preserving the unique service and entertainment that RCI is known for.
