Royal Caribbean Unveils Major Upgrades: Royal Amplified Expansion to Refurbish Three Ships in 2026

RCI-Royal Caribbean has announced significant upgrades for three of its ships—Ovation of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, and Liberty of the Seas—as part of its Royal Amplified refurbishment program, set to take place in 2026.

These enhancements aim to modernize the vessels and will feature redesigned pool areas, new dining venues, expanded bar and entertainment spaces, and increased stateroom options.

Ovation of the Seas will introduce a transformed pool deck complete with private cabanas, along with new dining experiences such as Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen. It will also offer a tiki-themed bar called Pesky Parrot and a music lounge, Sound Cellar. The ship is expected to resume its Alaskan itineraries in spring 2026, including extended cruisetour packages.

Harmony of the Seas is set to feature a Caribbean-style pool deck redesign and introduce new culinary options, including Samba Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, while servicing both European and Caribbean routes.

Liberty of the Seas will receive a variety of upgrades, including a new escape room, reconfigured pool areas, and refreshed dining options like El Loco Fresh and Starbucks. It will initially sail Northern European routes from Southampton before moving to Galveston for Western Caribbean voyages.

These improvements build upon previous enhancements made to Allure of the Seas and further reflect Royal Caribbean’s commitment to revitalizing its fleet, enhancing the overall guest experience while ensuring the continuation of its renowned service and entertainment offerings.
