Viking Unveils Exciting New River Voyage Opportunities in India
Viking has announced its inaugural river cruises in India, set to launch in 2027 aboard the Viking Brahmaputra, an 80-guest vessel specifically designed for the Brahmaputra River. This new offering will feature a 15-day itinerary called "Wonders of India," which includes both an eight-day river cruise and an extensive guided land tour.
The Viking Brahmaputra, currently under construction, will provide guest accommodations in 40 outside staterooms, each equipped with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that lead to a veranda. The ship will also boast several amenities, such as a spa, fitness center, and an open-air sky bar.
The cruise will start and end in Delhi, connecting travelers to key locations including Agra, Jaipur, and the villages along the Brahmaputra River. Guests will have the chance to explore iconic sites like the Taj Mahal and experience the biodiversity of Kaziranga National Park, home to the one-horned rhino and water buffalo.
In addition to the main itinerary, Viking is offering enhanced travel options for guests, including guided stays in Delhi, Dubai, Kathmandu, Cochin, and Mumbai.
For travelers booking the "Wonders of India" itinerary before July 31, 2025, Viking is promoting savings of up to $5,000 per couple, along with affordable airfare deals starting from $999.
