MSC Cruises Announces Exciting Summer 2027 Departures from U.S. Homeports
On July 14, 2025, MSC Cruises revealed exciting new itineraries for their ships that will be homeporting in the United States during the summer of 2027. This initiative focuses on deploying some of their most innovative vessels, including the latest addition to their fleet, MSC World America.
According to Lynn Torrent, President of MSC Cruises North America, travelers will enjoy a range of North American sailings throughout the summer 2027 season. Options will include tropical getaways to the Caribbean and the Bahamas as well as scenic itineraries through Alaska.
In Miami, both MSC World America and MSC Seaside will operate from the newly constructed PortMiami terminal. MSC World America will offer 7-night itineraries departing every Saturday, alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Passengers on the Eastern Caribbean route will visit Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), San Juan (Puerto Rico), and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve (Bahamas). Meanwhile, the Western Caribbean sailings will include stops at Costa Maya and Cozumel (Mexico), and Roatan (Honduras).
MSC Seaside, which has a gross tonnage of 153,516, will offer shorter 3- and 4-night sailings, setting sail on Fridays and Mondays to Nassau and Ocean Cay.
In Port Canaveral, MSC Grandiosa and MSC Seashore will feature similar itineraries. The former will offer 7-night trips every Saturday, alternating routes between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Eastern Caribbean sailings will include stops in Nassau, Ocean Cay, and Puerto Plata, while the Western itinerary will visit Nassau, Ocean Cay, Cozumel, and Costa Maya. MSC Seashore will run 3- and 4-night itineraries on Thursdays and Sundays.
In Galveston, MSC Seascape will be the only ship operating in summer 2027, with 7-night itineraries visiting Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel. Fans of Alaskan cruises can look forward to MSC Poesia, which will be homeporting in Seattle and sailing to popular Alaskan destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, and Tracy Arm Fjord.
The itineraries for these Alaskan cruises will likely be similar to those planned for the summer of 2026, and while not guaranteed, passengers can expect visits to many well-liked ports.
There’s also potential for additional summer sailings with MSC World Atlantic, a sister ship to MSC World America, which is currently under construction. If it launches as scheduled in February 2027, it could join the summer lineup in Port Canaveral.
While the full scope of the summer 2027 sailings is still being fine-tuned, there are already numerous options for those looking to book their cruises.
