Celebration Key Gears Up to Welcome Grand Bahama for Carnival Vista Arrival

On July 12, 2025, community leaders, government officials, and residents of Grand Bahama were invited aboard the Carnival Vista for an exclusive preview of Celebration Key. This new private destination is the result of development by Carnival Cruise Line and aligns with the upcoming grand opening on July 19.

The preview took place at Port Canaveral in Florida, in preparation for the Carnival Vista’s first official visit to the 64-acre resort. Guests explored the island’s five themed zones, which include features like the adults-only Pearl Cove Beach Club and the family-friendly Starfish Lagoon. They also experienced the prominent attractions of the site, such as the towering Suncastle waterslides and the Caribbean’s largest freshwater lagoons.

Carnival President Christine Duffy stated that Celebration Key marks a significant achievement for Grand Bahama, being the first major development in over twenty years. The project is expected to create hundreds of long-term job opportunities for local residents and strengthen the collaboration between Carnival and the community.

The inauguration on July 19 will be broadcast live on Carnival’s Facebook page. Additionally, plans to expand a pier by 2026 are in place to accommodate up to ten ships simultaneously from various points in the U.S.

In its inaugural year, Celebration Key is anticipated to attract approximately two million visitors from twenty different Carnival ships, providing a notable boost to the local economy.
