Introducing Beachcomber: Margaritaville’s Largest Vessel Set to Debut on Costa Fortuna

Margaritaville at Sea has launched its newest cruise ship, the Beachcomber, which is now the largest vessel in its fleet. Formerly known as Costa Fortuna, this impressive ship exceeds 100,000 gross tons and can accommodate around 3,450 passengers, significantly outpacing its sister ships, Paradise and Islander.

The Beachcomber will host familiar favorite venues, including the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Hemisphere Dancer piano lounge, and the License to Chill bar. Additionally, the ship will introduce fifteen new onboard experiences and recreational areas designed to enhance the island-inspired aesthetic that Margaritaville is known for.

Martha Brabham, the Head of Design, explained that the design is influenced by vintage surf art and nostalgic beach scenes, contributing to the carefree tropical vibe that embodies Margaritaville. This design philosophy builds on the visual aspects introduced with the Islander in 2024.

Although official information regarding the Beachcomber’s homeport and itineraries is still pending, it is anticipated to join the existing Margaritaville fleet in Florida, serving routes to the Bahamas and Caribbean. This expansion illustrates Margaritaville’s dedication to large-scale tropical cruising, allowing for a greater number of guests and an enriched experience rooted in the brand’s island lifestyle.
