Wind Spirit Sets Sail: Charting a New Course Through the Canary Islands

Windstar Cruises has announced that its sailing yacht, Wind Spirit, will start operating in the Canary Islands, offering new 9-night voyages from November 2026 to January 2027. This itinerary will feature visits to lesser-known destinations, such as Porto Santo in Portugal and El Hierro in Spain, aiming to promote immersive and sustainable tourism experiences.

The voyages will emphasize cultural engagement and small-group exploration, showcasing natural wonders, including volcanic landscapes and UNESCO sites. Guests can look forward to celebrated local traditions such as Nochebuena and performances by Rondallas during the sailings.

This regional deployment serves as a follow-up to Windstar’s initial entry into the Canary Islands in 2025. The updated Wind Spirit will include enhanced guest areas and utilize a marina platform for direct water access at select ports.

As an alternative winter holiday option, Windstar is offering early booking incentives, which include complimentary beverage packages, Wi-Fi, gratuities, and discounts for full payments.
