Star Princess Takes Center Stage: Elevating Shipboard Culture with an Exciting Theatre Lineup on Princess Cruises

Princess Cruises is set to enhance the on-board experience for guests aboard the Star Princess, launching on October 4, 2025. The ship promises an exciting range of entertainment, tailored for each deck, featuring original theatrical productions, stargazing candlelight concerts, and live pop-up shows performed by a diverse international cast.

At the Princess Arena theatre, two new shows will premiere. "Meridian" follows noblewoman Arabella Dovewood on a fictional celestial journey, mixing hidden emotions with masked balls and engine room drama, featuring an original score along with reimagined songs. Directed by BAFTA-winning Dan Shipton and choreographed by Kieran Daley-Ward, this production is complemented by the immersive efforts of Black Skull Creative. The second show, "Illuminate: A Spectacle of Joy," invites the audience to a nostalgic tent filled with vibrant characters, celebrating wonder and illusion through dynamic choreography and original music.

Additionally, returning favorites like "Viva La Música," a lively Latin-themed performance highlighting hits such as "Havana" and "Oye Como Va," will keep the energy high on stage.

Entertainment extends beyond traditional theatre settings. The Dome, a striking glass-enclosed venue on the top deck, will host the inaugural Candlelight Concert Series, where classical music will be reinterpreted in an intimate, candle-lit atmosphere with breathtaking ocean views. Meanwhile, the Piazza will feature the 45-minute "Princess Jamz" show, showcasing 15 performers from the Princess World Orchestra, and the new "Celestial Champagne Soirée," which combines music, light displays, and a stunning Champagne Waterfall experience.

Crafted by a global team of performers from 24 countries, the ship’s entertainment also includes pop-up events and themed evening celebrations.
