Carnival Liberty Sets Sail from New Orleans After Successful Drydock Refurbishment

Carnival Liberty has officially resumed service from New Orleans after undergoing an extensive drydock refurbishment. This revitalization includes several upgrades aimed at enhancing passenger experiences. Now joining its sister ship, Carnival Valor, which also received similar enhancements, Carnival Liberty will embark on week-long Caribbean voyages starting mid-July.

The ship has introduced several facilities, notably a new Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge dedicated to U.S. military personnel and their families, along with an expanded WaterWorks aqua park featuring new waterslides and a mini-golf course. The Cloud9 Spa has also been completely updated, featuring fresh decor, improved beauty stations, and additional wellness amenities including steam rooms and saunas.

Other significant renovations include a redesigned casino with increased slot machines and table games, modernized youth areas such as Camp Ocean and Club O2, and a new Dream Studio for photography. Furthermore, a centralized Carnival Adventures desk has been established for excursion bookings, along with refreshed retail spaces including a new High Spirits liquor store.

Accessibility was a primary focus during the refurbishment, resulting in wider pathways and improved amenities across public areas and select cabins.

Carnival Liberty will be operating regular 7-night roundtrip itineraries from Port NOLA to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas, with its inaugural call at Carnival’s private destination, Celebration Key, set for July 23rd.
