Princess Cruises Enhances Shipboard Experience with Exciting Star Princess Theatre Lineup
Princess Cruises has announced an exciting lineup of entertainment for its upcoming Star Princess, set to embark on October 4, 2025. The ship promises a vibrant array of performances designed to captivate guests across various decks, featuring original theatrical shows, enchanting candlelight concerts, and spontaneous live performances by an international cast.
Among the highlights will be two new productions in the Princess Arena theatre. "Meridian" tells the story of noblewoman Arabella Dovewood on the fictional Celestial, a tale rich with hidden emotions amid masked balls and engine rooms. The production features an original score and reimagined popular songs and is led by BAFTA-winning director Dan Shipton, with choreography by Kieran Daley‑Ward and production design by Ross Nicholson. The second show, "Illuminate: A Spectacle of Joy," invites audiences into a nostalgic tent, celebrating wonder and illusion with characters inspired by traditional ringmasters. This colorful performance is choreographed by Jay Revell and features music by Kola Bello, with design from Black Skull Creative.
Returning fan-favorites will also grace the stage, notably "Viva La Música," a lively Latin-themed show choreographed by Liz Imperio, which includes vibrant hits like "Havana" and "Oye Como Va."
The entertainment experience aboard the Star Princess does not end at the theatre. The ship’s top-deck venue, The Dome, will host the inaugural Candlelight Concert Series, offering beautiful classical arrangements in a candle-lit setting with stunning ocean views. Guests can also look forward to the "Princess Jamz" show in the Piazza, featuring a collective of 15 musicians from the Princess World Orchestra, and the new "Celestial Champagne Soirée," which combines music, lights, and storytelling with a dramatic Champagne Waterfall finale.
Crafted by a diverse team of performers hailing from 24 countries, Star Princess’s entertainment roster includes impromptu events, deck parties, and themed evenings, enriching the experience beyond traditional shows. Lorna Warren, Vice President of Hotel Operations and Guest Experience, expressed that these new offerings aim to surprise and inspire guests, leaving lasting memories long after their voyage.
The Star Princess, the second ship in the company’s LNG-powered Sphere class, accommodates up to 4,300 guests and will embark on an extensive inaugural season, visiting destinations in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska.
