Holland America Line’s Volendam recently embarked on an exciting 25-night cruise that started from Boston and is set to explore diverse destinations in Canada, New England, Greenland, and Iceland. This journey is a key part of the cruise line’s Legendary Voyages series, which focuses on immersive travel experiences.

Throughout the month-long cruise, the Volendam will visit a total of 16 ports, including six in Iceland and ten in Greenland, along with stops in Maine, Nova Scotia, Labrador, and Newfoundland. Noteworthy ports include lesser-known yet picturesque locales such as Eastport, Red Bay, and Djupivogur.

The itinerary promises enriching experiences that reflect Holland America’s commitment to providing deep, culturally immersive adventures. Special events on board will feature destination-themed parties, string ensembles, and presentations focused on the ports of call.

After this extensive journey, the Volendam will transit to additional routes along the U.S. East Coast and Canada between August and October, offering a variety of shorter voyages ranging from seven to eleven nights between Boston and Montreal.

In early October, the ship will set sail for a 45-night Legendary Voyage to Europe and the Mediterranean, departing roundtrip from New York City. This extensive cruise will cover a wide array of destinations, including Portugal, Spain, Italy, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, and the United Kingdom.

Subsequent to these voyages, the Volendam will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, where it will offer cruises exploring the Amazon and the Caribbean, ultimately leading into Holland America’s 2026 World Voyage. This significant 133-night journey will depart from Port Everglades in January and includes numerous exciting destinations across the South Pacific, Alaska, Southeast Asia, and the Far East.
