HAL Reintroduces Behind-the-Scenes Ship Tours for an Inside Look at Holland America Line Cruises
HAL-Holland America Line has reintroduced its exclusive behind-the-scenes ship tours, granting guests access to various operational areas typically restricted from public view. These tours will allow participants to explore essential locations such as the bridge, galley, engine control room, laundry facilities, and waste management areas. Additional highlights include visits to storerooms, the bakery, and crew dressing rooms.
During the tours, senior officers and department heads will accompany guests to explain the functions and importance of each area in the daily operations of the cruise ship. This initiative aims to enhance passengers’ understanding of the intricacies involved in cruise ship management and logistics.
HAL reports that there has been a consistent high interest among guests to visit these operational zones. The tours are designed to cater to that demand, facilitating direct interactions between guests and crew members responsible for various culinary, navigational, and environmental tasks.
Currently available on select ships, these tours are expected to roll out fleet-wide by the end of July, with a price point of $179 per person, including accessibility options. Bookings can be made while aboard the ship.
