Orient Express Corinthian Ship Set to Make Caribbean Debut in Fall 2026

Accor Cruises has announced the debut of its first superyacht, the Orient Express Corinthian, set to launch in the Caribbean in the fall of 2026. The ship is scheduled to leave from Lisbon, Portugal, on October 12 for a 14-night Transatlantic voyage to Bridgetown, Barbados, marking the start of its inaugural season.

The journeys will feature multiple itineraries ranging from 2 to 9 nights, visiting idyllic destinations including Saint-Barthélemy, Moskito Island, the Exumas, and the Tobago Cays until March 2027.

At an impressive length of 220 meters, the Corinthian will be the world’s largest sailing yacht upon its delivery. It will offer 54 luxurious suites, each ranging from about 485 sq. ft. to nearly 2,476 sq. ft., complete with panoramic views or private terraces. Accommodating up to 110 guests, the vessel boasts a crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1, encapsulating the elegance reminiscent of travel’s golden age, under the artistic vision of Maxime d’Angeac.

The yacht is equipped with a cutting-edge SolidSail propulsion system, featuring three rigid sails with a total area of about 1,500 sq. meters, offering the potential for wind-powered navigation at speeds of around 17 knots in optimal weather. A hybrid engine powered by liquefied natural gas will support the sails when necessary.

The interior design pays homage to classic ocean liners, with spaces crafted by French artisans. Onboard amenities will include five restaurants, a 115-seat cabaret, two pools, a marina, a recording studio, and wellness areas, all guided by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno.

The deployment of the Corinthian highlights the brand’s evolution from its prestigious rail heritage to luxury sea travel. Its Caribbean season will be devoted to exploring secluded bays, pristine reefs, and culturally rich ports. Future plans include introducing a sister ship, the Orient Express Olympian, in 2027, marking a significant chapter in luxury maritime experiences that blend heritage, sustainability, and innovative design.
