Oceania Cruises has unveiled a new wine-focused dining initiative called the Gérard Bertrand Food and Wine Pairing Experience, collaborating with renowned French winemaker Gérard Bertrand, who manages 13 estates in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France.

This exclusive experience premiered on the new ship, Allura, during its maiden voyage on July 18, 2025, with plans for future rollouts on the Vista in September 2025, followed by the Marina and Riviera in 2026. The program features a meticulously crafted 6-course gourmet menu paired with Bertrand’s biodynamic and sustainably produced wines to enhance the flavors of each dish.

Guests will enjoy an intimate setting in the ship’s French specialty restaurant, Jacques, which accommodates up to 40 guests per seating. The culinary offerings include exquisite dishes such as potato fritters with Ossetra caviar, duck and foie gras pâté, and braised beef short rib, concluding with a decadent dessert of Callebaut gold chocolate.

Wine selections highlight Bertrand’s signature labels, including the ‘Clos du Temple’ rosé and the 1975 Les Vignerons de Maury Tuile Vieille Reserve. The experience reflects Oceania’s commitment to sustainable winemaking, enriching its culinary landscape and aligning with its intent to immerse guests in regional culture through food and wine. Priced at $175 per person, the event will be available on select sailing days and adds to Oceania’s array of culinary events, including pairings with Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon.
