Costa Cruises Adjusts Winter 2025–2026 Itineraries Due to Middle East Instability

Costa Cruises has made notable changes to its deployment plans for the winter 2025–2026 season, pivoting away from its intended operations in the UAE due to rising regional uncertainties.

Originally, the Costa Toscana was scheduled to operate winter sailings from Dubai and visit various ports within the UAE. However, this route has been suspended, and the cruise line has decided to keep the vessel in the Western Mediterranean instead. From now until November 13, 2025, Costa Toscana will conduct 7-night voyages that encompass diverse stops in Southern Europe and North Africa. Additionally, seasonal repositioning cruises to and from Dubai, which were previously planned for autumn 2025 and spring 2026, have also been cancelled.

In lieu of the cancelled Arabian Gulf itineraries, Costa Cruises is introducing an alternative program focused on Mediterranean destinations. These revised itineraries will offer guests enriched cultural experiences and favorable weather, ensuring a satisfying cruise experience.

Other vessels in the fleet are still maintaining robust winter offerings. The Costa Fortuna will provide week-long sailings to the Canary Islands, facilitated by fly-cruise packages. Passengers will have the chance to discover the region’s stunning volcanic landscapes and lush subtropical environments.

For travelers looking for a more extended warm-weather getaway, the Costa Fascinosa and Costa Pacifica will proceed with their scheduled Caribbean routes. These ships will offer unique 7-night itineraries that can be combined for a two-week vacation. These journeys will showcase the Caribbean’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and beautiful beaches.

Costa Cruises has reached out to guests affected by the changes, presenting numerous rebooking alternatives and new itineraries. The cruise line has assured guests that flexible arrangements will be available, promising to uphold the high service standards they are known for.

While the cancellation of UAE operations marks a shift from Costa’s usual winter deployment strategy, the company has reaffirmed its dedication to providing destination-rich voyages throughout the Mediterranean, Canary Islands, and Caribbean—regions that are vital to the line’s seasonal framework. The updated plans reflect a balance of operational judgment and a commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.
