Oceania Cruises has unveiled a new gin and wine pairing program, joining forces with the esteemed French winemaker Gérard Bertrand, who oversees 13 estates in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. This initiative, called the Gérard Bertrand Food and Wine Pairing Experience, debuted on the new ship, Allura, during its inaugural voyage on July 18, 2025. Following Allura, the program is set to launch on Vista in September 2025 and will expand further to Marina and Riviera in 2026.

The culinary journey encompasses a 6-course gourmet menu designed alongside Bertrand’s biodynamic and sustainable wines, with each dish expertly paired to enhance the distinct flavors of specific varietals from the Languedoc-Roussillon area. This intimate experience takes place in the French specialty restaurant Jacques on board, accommodating a maximum of 40 guests per seating, thus ensuring a personalized and educational atmosphere.

Diners can anticipate delicacies such as potato fritters with Ossetra caviar, duck and foie gras pâté, and braised beef short rib, concluding with a Callebaut gold chocolate dessert. The wine list features Bertrand’s premier selections, including the ‘Clos du Temple’ rosé and the 1975 Les Vignerons de Maury Tuile Vieille Reserve. Each wine embodies Bertrand’s commitment to sustainable winemaking, which aligns seamlessly with Oceania’s culinary focus and dedication to regional experiences.

Priced at $175 per person (excluding gratuities), the experience will be held on select days during each voyage. This addition joins Oceania’s array of culinary events, which already includes partnerships with Moët & Chandon and Dom Pérignon, further enriching the luxury cruise experience with the essence of local culture through exquisite food and wine.
