Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Exciting 2027 Alaskan Season with Three Ships!

CCL-Carnival Cruise Line has announced an extensive deployment for Alaska in 2027, featuring three ships: Carnival Spirit, Carnival Legend, and Carnival Luminosa. These vessels will operate out of Seattle, WA and San Francisco, CA during the summer, providing over 50 sailings, along with unique repositioning voyages in spring and fall.

The 2,800-passenger Carnival Luminosa will start its journey from Sydney on April 6, 2027, embarking on a 23-day repositioning voyage that includes ports of call in Suva (Fiji), Moorea, and Papeete, before arriving in San Francisco. From May 3, it will offer a series of 10-day itineraries to Alaska, visiting ports like Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert. Additionally, while based in San Francisco, Carnival Luminosa will conduct several 4-day cruises to Ensenada for short getaways.

Meanwhile, the 2,700-passenger Carnival Legend will make its way from Tampa to Seattle from April 4, 2027, via a 16-day Panama Canal cruise, with stops at Cartagena, Santa Marta, Acapulco, and Cabo San Lucas. Once docked in Seattle, it will offer 22 week-long Alaska cruises beginning April 20, visiting key locations such as Juneau and Victoria (British Columbia) as well. Later in the season, it will feature a 16-day “Hawaii Journeys” cruise, departing on September 21, with calls at four Hawaiian islands along with a visit to Victoria.

CCL’s Carnival Spirit will kick off its Alaskan season by offering consecutive cruises, starting with a 9-night Western Caribbean itinerary from Mobile on March 20, calling at Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Montego Bay. This will be followed by a 16-night Panama Canal voyage starting March 29, featuring stops including Cartagena and Cabo San Lucas. Starting April 14, Spirit will operate a 15-night cruise from Seattle to Hawaii, visiting all four major islands before concluding in Victoria BC. From April 29, it will embark on 20 week-long Alaska sailings, visiting Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and featuring an additional 9-day voyage to Sitka.

Christine Duffy, CCL’s President, emphasized that the three-ship deployment provides a perfect blend of Alaska’s breathtaking scenery and Carnival’s inviting onboard experience, highlighting the high demand for these itineraries well in advance. This detailed schedule underscores Carnival’s dedication to delivering a variety of programming in Alaska, from classic seven-night journeys to longer repositioning trips and short getaways from the U.S. West Coast.
