Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Unveils Extended 2027–2028 Schedule: What to Expect!

Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has unveiled its sailing schedule for the fourth quarter of 2027, extending into early 2028, featuring 28 new itineraries across its fleet. The routes encompass a diverse range of destinations from West Africa to the Indian Ocean, including transatlantic crossings, journeys to Central America, and polar expeditions.

In a shift to enhance booking experiences, all Q4 2027 voyages are now available for immediate reservation without a prebooking phase. Early bookings made by January 31, 2027, will benefit from discounts based on itinerary length.

The expedition ship HANSEATIC nature will introduce a new routing through West Africa and the Indian Ocean, starting from Hamburg. This voyage will stop at notable locations such as Madeira, Ghana, Mozambique, and the Seychelles, allowing for cultural insights into cocoa production at the port of Takoradi and explorations of the biodiverse coastal region of Nacala in Mozambique. Expert-led field excursions and Zodiac landings will offer adventurers a chance to experience these remote regions.

Another significant journey on HANSEATIC nature will depart from Cape Town to Mahe, Seychelles over 16 days, including stops in places like Hermanus, Durban, and Mamoudzou. The vessel’s compact design makes it suitable for accessing less-developed coastal regions and ecologically sensitive areas.

The Antarctic expeditions remain a focal point for Hapag-Lloyd, as the HANSEATIC Inspiration and HANSEATIC Spirit will conduct extended journeys to the southern polar region. These 20 to 22-day voyages will feature landings in South Georgia, the Falkland Islands, and the Weddell Sea, supported by onboard scientific teams for enhanced educational experiences.

The luxury ship MS EUROPA will connect West and South Africa with destinations in the Indian Ocean, starting in Hamburg, transitioning through Tenerife, and arriving in Cape Town. The itinerary includes optional excursions showcasing the Cape Winelands and the Garden Route. The route continues from Cape Town to Mauritius via Réunion and Port d’Ehoala, culminating in a festive cruise from Mauritius to Sri Lanka, passing through the Seychelles and Maldives.

MS EUROPA 2 will kick off its season in Northern Europe, exploring the Baltic Sea and Norway before heading to New York. Following this, it will navigate through the Gulf of Mexico and the southeastern U.S., with new port calls at Galveston and Tampa. The year will conclude with a Caribbean itinerary that includes renowned destinations such as Antigua, Aruba, and Cartagena, along with a transit through the Panama Canal.

All itineraries are bookable through the company’s platform, with prices outlined under the PLATINUM fare model that includes discounts of up to EUR 1,800 per person for early reservations, excluding travel packages to and from embarkation and disembarkation ports.
