Oceania Cruises has launched an innovative wine-focused dining program in collaboration with renowned French winemaker Gérard Bertrand. This new experience, named the Gérard Bertrand Food and Wine Pairing Experience, made its debut on the newly built ship, Allura, on July 18, 2025, during its inaugural voyage. The program is slated for expansion to the Vista in September 2025, followed by the Marina and Riviera in 2026.

The dining experience offers a carefully crafted 6-course gourmet menu that pairs each dish with wines from Bertrand’s biodynamic vineyards in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. Hosted in the ship’s French specialty restaurant Jacques, this intimate experience allows for a maximum of 40 guests per seating, ensuring a personal and educational environment.

Menu highlights include exquisite dishes such as potato fritters with Ossetra caviar, duck and foie gras pâté, and braised beef short rib, culminating in a decadent Callebaut gold chocolate dessert. Guests will enjoy wines from Bertrand’s flagship labels, including the renowned ‘Clos du Temple’ rosé and the 1975 Les Vignerons de Maury Tuile Vieille Reserve. These selections reflect Bertrand’s sustainable winemaking philosophy, which aligns with Oceania’s commitment to enhancing culinary experiences that celebrate regional culture.

Priced at US$175 per person (excluding gratuities), the experience is available on select days during voyages. This offering adds to Oceania’s existing array of culinary experiences, including collaborations with iconic champagne brands. The cruise line continues to focus on providing meaningful enrichment to its luxury offerings, allowing guests to deeply engage with local cultural elements through the lens of food and wine.
