Hapag-Lloyd Cruises Unveils Extended 2027–2028 Itinerary Schedule
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has unveiled an exciting sailing schedule for the fourth quarter of 2027, extending operations into early 2028 with 28 new itineraries for their fleet. This expansion emphasizes routes from West Africa to the Indian Ocean, including transatlantic crossings, Central America, and polar expeditions.
For the first time, all Q4 2027 voyages are available for immediate booking without a prebooking phase, aiming to simplify early reservation processes. An early booking discount is offered for all voyages confirmed by January 31, 2027, with varying amounts based on itinerary length.
The expedition vessel HANSEATIC nature is set to launch new routes through West Africa and the Indian Ocean, departing from Hamburg. Key destinations include Madeira, Ghana, Mozambique, and the Seychelles, featuring cultural insights into cocoa production at the port of Takoradi and exploring biodiversity in Nacala, Mozambique, with expert-led excursions.
Another journey aboard HANSEATIC nature will navigate from Cape Town to Mahe, Seychelles in 16 days, visiting ports such as Hermanus, Durban, and Mamoudzou. The small size of the ship enhances its access to less-developed and ecologically sensitive coastal regions.
Hapag-Lloyd also maintains a strong focus on Antarctic expeditions. The vessels HANSEATIC Inspiration and HANSEATIC Spirit will offer extended voyages to the southern polar region, lasting between 20 to 22 days, and include landings in South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
Additionally, the luxury vessel MS EUROPA will connect destinations in West and South Africa with Indian Ocean ports, setting sail from Hamburg, with notable stops along the Cape Winelands and Garden Route, along with optional safari experiences. A seasonal cruise from Mauritius to Sri Lanka via Seychelles and the Maldives is also scheduled.
MS EUROPA 2 will kick off its season in Northern Europe, sailing through the Baltic Sea before crossing the Atlantic to New York and then continuing through the Gulf of Mexico to new ports, including Galveston and Tampa. The year will conclude with a Caribbean itinerary, featuring traditional ports such as Antigua, Aruba, and Cartagena, along with a transit of the Panama Canal.
All itineraries can now be booked through the company’s platform, with prices published under the PLATINUM fare model, which includes early booking discounts up to EUR 1,800 per person, based on cruise and cabin type. Travel packages for embarkation points are not included in the pricing.
