Marella Cruises Partners with V.Ships Leisure in Industry-Leading Ship Management Deal

Marella Cruises has announced a significant 5-year technical service agreement with V.Ships Leisure, marking a transformative phase in managing its fleet of five ships. This contract is set to start at the end of 2025 and includes comprehensive technical support, crew administration, digital fleet management, and adherence to environmental and social governance (ESG) standards.

The partnership aims to position Marella Cruises as a leader in sustainable operations. Under the agreement, V.Ships Leisure will establish a dedicated fleet management cell in Southampton, UK, enhancing local support while leveraging its extensive expertise globally. By the conclusion of 2025, two Marella vessels will come under V.Ships management, with the remaining three to follow by mid-2026.

A standout feature of this collaboration is the integration of V.Ships’ ShipSure platform, a digital tool designed for data-driven decision-making related to maintenance and operations. This system is expected to improve transparency and operational efficiency across Marella’s fleet. Additionally, the V.ERDE decarbonization program from V.Ships will be utilized to bolster Marella’s environmental and governance initiatives.
