Carnival Cruise Line Unveils Exciting 2027 Alaskan Season with Three Ships!
Carnival Cruise Line has announced its plans for a significant deployment in Alaska for the summer of 2027, featuring three ships: Carnival Spirit, Carnival Legend, and Carnival Luminosa. These ships will operate out of Seattle and San Francisco, providing more than 50 sailings, as well as unique repositioning journeys in the spring and fall.
The 2,800-passenger Carnival Luminosa is set to embark on a 23-day repositioning voyage from Sydney on April 6, stopping at several tropical destinations, including Suva (Fiji), Moorea, and Papeete in French Polynesia. It will then continue to Honolulu before reaching San Francisco.
Starting May 3, Luminosa will host a series of 10-day Alaska itineraries, with ports of call including Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert. The ship will also run short 4-day cruises to Ensenada, Mexico, from San Francisco.
Carnival Legend, which can accommodate 2,700 passengers, is scheduled to reposition from Tampa to Seattle on April 4 via a 16-day Panama Canal cruise with stops in Cartagena, Santa Marta, Acapulco, and Cabo San Lucas, before beginning its Alaska sailings on April 20. Legend will offer 22 weekly week-long cruises that include visits to Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Victoria, British Columbia, along with a special 16-day cruise to Hawaii departing on September 21.
Meanwhile, Carnival Spirit will kick off its season with a 9-night Western Caribbean cruise from Mobile starting March 20, which includes destinations like Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Montego Bay, and Roatan. Following this, Spirit will embark on a 15-night Hawaiian cruise from Seattle on April 14, visiting all four major Hawaiian islands. From April 29, the ship will offer 20 weekly cruises to Alaska that incorporate several major ports along with an additional 9-day journey that includes a stop in Sitka.
Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, highlighted that this three-ship deployment presents an enticing blend of Alaska’s stunning scenery and the enjoyable atmosphere onboard, which has led to strong demand for these itineraries in advance. This schedule reflects Carnival’s ongoing commitment to providing diverse programming in Alaska, featuring traditional seven-night voyages, extended repositioning itineraries, and convenient short getaways from the U.S. West Coast.
