Marella Cruises Partners with V.Ships Leisure for Record-Breaking Ship Management Deal

Marella Cruises has entered into a significant 5-year technical service agreement with V.Ships Leisure, marking a notable change in the management of its fleet of five ships. This contract, which is set to begin at the end of 2025, includes comprehensive technical support, crew administration, digital fleet oversight, and adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. This move places Marella at the forefront of sustainable and proactive maritime operations.

As part of this agreement, V.Ships will establish a dedicated management team in Southampton, UK, which will enhance local support while leveraging their extensive global experience. By the end of 2025, two Marella vessels are expected to come under V.Ships’ management, with the remaining three transitioning by mid-2026.

A key feature of this partnership is the introduction of V.Ships’ ShipSure platform, a digital tool that facilitates data-driven decision-making in maintenance and operations, thereby promising improved transparency and operational efficiency. Furthermore, V.Ships has adopted its V.ERDE decarbonisation program to bolster Marella’s environmental commitments.
