Star Voyager Launches Limited-Run Weekend Voyages Between Hong Kong and Xiamen
Star Cruises has announced a new series of six short cruises on the Star Voyager, scheduled to set sail from Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong to Xiamen. These roundtrip voyages, running for two nights, will depart Friday evenings in the autumn of 2025. The dates for the sailings are September 19 and 26, October 3, 17, and 31, and November 14, focusing on providing a compact getaway for travelers.
The cruises are strategically designed to allow passengers to explore Xiamen’s coastal sights and cultural landmarks without the hassle of long travel times. According to Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises, these weekend itineraries blend convenience with exploratory opportunities. Passengers can expect to enjoy a full day in Xiamen, visiting attractions such as Gulangyu Island—a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colonial architecture, the Nanputuo Temple, and the vibrant Zhongshan Road filled with local delicacies and shops.
Onboard, the Star Voyager will feature various amenities including specialty dining options, live entertainment, spa services, and cozy viewing lounges. This cruise experience aims to cater to both leisure seekers and those interested in cultural exploration.
Reservations for this limited capacity offering will open on August 5, 2025, with promotional rates starting at HK$1,300 per guest for twin-share accommodations, including a special early booking discount available until September 15. More details can be found on the cruise operator’s website.
