Scarlet Lady Sets Sail to Launch Virgin Voyages’ Exciting Iceland Chapter

Virgin Voyages marked a significant milestone as the Scarlet Lady became the first ship in its fleet to visit Iceland, officially introducing the brand to the Nordic region. The ship made its inaugural stop at Akureyri on August 3, 2025, with plans to visit Ísafjörður and spend an overnight stay in Reykjavik during a 10-night journey from England to Iceland and Norway.

This journey aligns with Virgin’s broader strategy to engage an adult audience by offering immersive travel experiences. The company noted that the Scarlet Lady has underscored the demand for its unique vacation model, contributing to the brand’s ongoing growth.

As the company expands, the new vessel, Brilliant Lady, is approaching its debut. After finishing outfitting at Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard, it is heading to the UK and Lisbon for preview events. The Maiden voyage is set to launch from New York City on September 5th, with subsequent itineraries encompassing four U.S. homeports—New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Seattle—culminating in Virgin Voyages’ inaugural voyages to Alaska in 2026.

To prepare the crew for its distinct service standards, Brilliant Lady is hosting a four-day cultural immersion program at sea called “The Virgin Way,” aligning with the company’s commitment to a people-first philosophy.
