Carnival Festivale: Set to Debut in 2027 with Exciting Family-Oriented Experiences from Port Canaveral

Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for its upcoming Excel-class ship, Carnival Festivale, which is set to launch in 2027. The ship will operate from Port Canaveral in Orlando, Florida, and will offer a range of 6- and 8-day Caribbean itineraries. Destinations will include Amber Cove, San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten, along with Carnival’s private islands, Celebration Key and Half Moon Cay. Before embarking on its Caribbean journeys, the Festivale will undertake a 15-day transatlantic crossing from Southampton with stops in Spain, Madeira, and the Canary Islands.

One of the main attractions of Carnival Festivale will be the Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, the largest water park at sea tailored for families. In addition to the water park, the ship will feature three unique entertainment zones designed to enrich the guest experience. Studio 724 will focus on interactive music-themed activities, while The Festival will recreate the vibe of outdoor music festivals with various dining and drink options. Sunsation Point will span three decks, offering amenities such as a retro arcade, illuminated mini-golf, and an adventurous trail with netted bridges.

Carnival President Christine Duffy stated that the design of Carnival Festivale aims to attract multi-generational travelers through engaging entertainment options and enhanced accommodations—including 1,000 interconnecting staterooms. Additionally, there will be specialized programming for younger guests, including an expanded nursery space catering to infants and toddlers.

When Carnival Festivale arrives at Port Canaveral, it will join its sister ship, Mardi Gras, which will reinforce the port’s role as a significant hub for Carnival’s Excel-class fleet. More deployment details for the 2027-2028 cruise season are anticipated to be revealed in the near future.
