Princess Cruises Slashes Prices for Enhanced Spellbound Experience on Star Princess

Princess Cruises has announced an updated version of its Spellbound experience aboard the Star Princess, an enchanting speakeasy-style illusion venue created in collaboration with The Magic Castle®, a renowned Hollywood magic institution. Set to transport passengers to a unique realm of magic, the venue celebrates the legacy of Richard Valentine Pitchford, known as Cardini, whose heritage is carried on by his great-nephew, Randy Pitchford.

Guests entering Spellbound will pass through a whimsical ticket booth into various themed spaces, including the Inner Circle, Cardini Bar, Backstage enclave, and Peacock Theater. Each area boasts captivating décor, dim lighting, and theatrical elements designed to enhance the magical atmosphere.

The Cardini Bar features an exclusive cocktail menu with handcrafted drinks, such as "The Inner Circle," made with jasmine-infused milk-washed Meili vodka, and a unique take on the Old Fashioned, named after Cardini, using butter-washed rum.

This reimagined Spellbound experience has rapidly gained popularity and aims to encapsulate the essence of Hollywood’s Magic Castle in an entirely new setting. The experience will be available to all guests on the Star Princess, with multiple shows scheduled each night. Admission is priced at $45 per person, which includes two specialty cocktails and the magic performance. Tickets can be bought online or onboard the ship.

Notably, the updated experience will not include a pre-show dining service, and guests are encouraged to dine at least two hours before the show to fully enjoy the performance without interruptions.

The Star Princess, constructed at the Fincantieri shipyard, will weigh 177,800 tons and accommodate approximately 4,300 guests. The ship will feature thirty diverse dining and bar venues, enhanced entertainment options, and high-end accommodations within the Sanctuary Collection, including mini-suites and balcony staterooms. It is slated to begin service with itineraries throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal, and Alaska.
