Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas Set for 2026 Refurbishment: 40 New Cabins on the Horizon!

Royal Caribbean International has announced that its ship, Ovation of the Seas, will receive significant updates as part of the Royal Amplified refurbishment in preparation for the 2026 Alaska season. The enhancements will include the addition of 40 new staterooms and a comprehensive redesign of various public areas.

The new accommodations will primarily take over spaces that were previously public-use areas on Decks 12, 13, and 16, including the conference center, suite lounge, and part of the fitness center. Additional cabins will replace some technical spaces and the Photo Gallery on Decks 5 and 9.

Public spaces will also see extensive redesigns. The Casino Royale will be expanded into the lower level of the Music Hall on Deck 3, while the upper level will feature a new nightclub dubbed Sound Cellar. A full-service Starbucks will take the place of Le Patisserie, and a tiki-style bar called Pesky Parrot will replace the existing Bionic Bar, a concept originally introduced on Utopia of the Seas. Dining options will also change, with Wonderland being replaced by Izumi Teppanyaki, and Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen taking over the space formerly occupied by Jamie’s Italian.

The Suite Lounge will be relocated from Deck 12 to the former teen lounge on Deck 14 to accommodate the new cabins.

These upgrades are part of a wider Royal Amplified initiative announced earlier in the year, which will also include refurbishments on Harmony of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. This program aims to enhance vacation offerings across the fleet, focusing on increasing accommodation capacity, entertainment, and guest amenities.
