Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas Set for Major Refurbishment in 2026

Royal Caribbean International has announced that its ship, Ovation of the Seas, will undergo significant renovations as part of the Royal Amplified refurbishment program ahead of the Alaska season in 2026. This refurb will add 40 new staterooms and revamp various public spaces.

The new accommodations will largely replace former public areas on Decks 12, 13, and 16, including spaces once dedicated to a conference center, suite lounge, and part of the fitness center. Additionally, 19 cabins will take the place of technical facilities and the Photo Gallery located on Decks 5 and 9.

The ship’s public areas are set for a major redesign. The Casino Royale will expand into a new area on the lower level of the Music Hall on Deck 3, which will also feature a new nightclub named Sound Cellar on the upper level. Le Patisserie will be transformed into a full-service Starbucks, while the Bionic Bar will be replaced by the tiki-style Pesky Parrot Bar, a concept previously seen on Utopia of the Seas. Dining options will also change, with Izumi Teppanyaki taking over the space that was once Wonderland, and Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen replacing Jamie’s Italian.

To accommodate the new cabins, the Suite Lounge on Deck 12 will be relocated to the former teen lounge on Deck 14.

These enhancements are part of the broader Royal Amplified initiative, which also includes refurbishment plans for Harmony of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. The aim of this program is to elevate the vacation experience on board the fleet, enhancing accommodation capacity, entertainment, dining options, and guest amenities.
