Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth: Set Sail for Miami After a Stunning Refurbishment in Singapore

Cunard, the historic cruise line with a legacy spanning nearly two centuries, is set to embark on a significant milestone this autumn. For the first time in its history, the Queen Elizabeth will homeport in Miami, following an extensive refurbishment that took place at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore. This refurbishment, lasting three weeks from February 25 to March 13, 2025, was aimed at preparing the ship for its new routes.

The Queen Elizabeth will start its Caribbean voyages from Miami on October 16. These sailings, ranging from 9 to 28 nights, will feature round-trip itineraries, with stops at twelve ports including St Maarten, St Thomas, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Antigua, Barbados, and St Lucia. The inaugural Caribbean trip will last 12 nights, allowing guests to explore fascinating destinations such as Bridgetown’s UNESCO-listed Garrison and the lively markets of Castries.

This deployment represents a notable moment for Cunard, as it will be the first time any of its ships will operate for an entire season out of PortMiami. Throughout its 185-year history, Cunard has operated a total of 249 ships, with its current fleet consisting of the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, and the newest addition, Queen Anne.
