Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth: A Major Transformation as She Repositions to Miami After Singapore Refurbishment

Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth is set to make history this autumn as it prepares to homeport in Miami for the first time ever. Following a three-week extensive refurbishment at Seatrium’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore from February 25 to March 13, 2025, the cruise liner is ready for its upcoming Caribbean voyages.

Commencing on October 16, the Queen Elizabeth will offer a variety of itineraries ranging from 9 to 28 nights, all operating as round-trips from Miami. The ship can accommodate 2,000 passengers and will visit a dozen destinations, including popular ports like St Maarten, St Thomas, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Antigua, Barbados, and St Lucia.

The inaugural Caribbean voyage will be a 12-night round-trip, featuring stops at significant sites such as Bridgetown’s UNESCO-listed Garrison and the lively markets of Castries.

This new deployment marks the first full season any Cunard ship has conducted from PortMiami, adding a significant chapter to the company’s nearly 200-year maritime legacy. Cunard Line has operated a total of 249 ships throughout its history, with its current fleet comprising the Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth, and the newest addition, Queen Anne.
