Carnival Cruise Line has announced the redeployment of the Vista-class vessel, Carnival Firenze, starting in the 2026–2027 season. The ship will primarily operate itineraries in the Caribbean, the Bahamas, New York City, and South America. This shift aims to diversify Carnival’s offerings by introducing both shorter coastal voyages and longer cultural immersion experiences.
Beginning in January 2027, Carnival Firenze will launch its South American sailing program from various ports including Long Beach/LA, San Antonio, and Buenos Aires. The first voyage departs Long Beach on January 4th, as part of the Carnival Journeys program, featuring a 14-day itinerary that includes ports in Acapulco, Callao, and Ecuador. The program will highlight destinations like Patagonia and conclude in Buenos Aires ahead of a 15-day repositioning voyage back to Miami, scheduled to coincide with the Carnival festival in Rio de Janeiro.
From late February 2027, the ship will commence a series of 4- to 7-night voyages from Miami, exploring the Bahamas and the Caribbean. The itineraries will specifically include ports such as Oranjestad, Fort-de-France, George Town, and exclusive stops at Half Moon Cay, Celebration Key, and Isla Tropicale (Roatan, Honduras).
In May 2027, Carnival Firenze will reposition to New York City to initiate a summer program of roundtrip sailings to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. While the details are not finalized, the cruises are expected to cater to passengers along the East Coast, blending various lengths and destinations.
