Royal Caribbean Extends Suspension of Labadee Calls Until 2026: What You Need to Know

Royal Caribbean International (RCI) has announced that it will extend the closure of its private resort at Labadee, Haiti, until at least April 2026. The decision comes in response to ongoing unrest in the country, with the safety of guests and crew being the airline’s top priority.

Labadee, known for its beautiful beaches and various activities, will be off cruise itineraries for over a year, affecting nine ships including the Adventure of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, and Symphony of the Seas. As a result, RCI has begun adjusting its itineraries. For instance, the Freedom of the Seas, which was scheduled to stop at Labadee in November 2025, will now visit Grand Turk instead, while another sailing will go to Puerto Plata. The December itinerary has been revamped to include Falmouth, Jamaica, among other destinations.

Passengers with pre-booked excursions at Labadee will have their reservations canceled and refunded automatically. Equivalent tours will be provided at the alternative ports when possible.

Despite the closure of Labadee, Royal Caribbean plans to maintain robust Caribbean offerings, highlighting destinations such as Grand Turk and Puerto Plata that feature beaches and cultural experiences. The line remains confident that these alternative ports will deliver comparable leisure and entertainment options to its guests.
