AIDA Cruises Modifies 2026 Itineraries for AIDAcosma Following Scheduled Drydocking
AIDA Cruises has announced modifications to two of its upcoming sailings in late 2026 for the AIDAcosma ship, primarily due to its first scheduled drydock in autumn of that year. The adjustments to the deployment schedule impact the original sail dates of November 29th and December 5th, which will now shift to November 26th and December 3rd.
Both cruises will begin from Palma de Mallorca. The first is a 6-night Mediterranean cruise that includes stops at several ports including Barcelona, Marseille, La Spezia, and Civitavecchia. The second is a 7-night voyage to the Canary Islands, calling at Málaga, Cádiz, Puerto de Rosario, and Arrecife before concluding in Las Palmas.
This drydock period is a standard procedure following AIDAcosma’s entry into service in 2021. As part of Carnival Corporation’s Excel class, the AIDAcosma, which weighs 180,000 tons, is the second LNG-powered ship in the AIDA fleet after AIDAnova, launched in 2018. The scheduled maintenance is deemed crucial to maintain the ship’s operational standards and reliability.
Guests who have booked pre- and post-cruise travel packages will have their arrangements revised according to the updated schedule. AIDA Cruises has already started notifying affected passengers and will provide more information regarding itinerary and accommodation changes. Following the drydock, AIDAcosma is set to resume its winter service in the Atlantic, focusing on popular destinations like the Canary Islands and Madeira during the colder months.
