Hapag-Lloyd Unveils Exciting New Mediterranean–South Pacific Itineraries for Europa 2 in 2027
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has announced new itineraries for the Europa 2, featuring four reimagined voyages for the summer season of 2027, from June 2 to August 3. These sailings will take the ship from Southeast Asia through the Indian Ocean, along the African coastline, and finally to the western Mediterranean, replacing planned routes in the Red Sea due to geopolitical changes.
After notifying guests about the changes, Hapag-Lloyd has offered rebooking options. The upcoming voyages will begin in early summer, with departures from Hong Kong to Singapore, continuing across the Indian Ocean to locations such as Reunion Island, Maputo, Durban, and Cape Town. The journey will also include Namibia’s coastline and a stop at St. Helena, followed by visits to the Cape Verde archipelago before heading to Tenerife and the western Mediterranean, with stops in Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Sardinia, and Corsica.
The Europa 2 has consistently been rated as the "best ship in the world" by Insight Guides Cruising & Cruise Ships. Two of the new voyages will include the IN2BALANCE wellness format that focuses on integrated fitness, relaxation, and mindfulness, along with renovated lounges on Deck 11 for enhanced relaxation during sea days.
