AIDA Cruises Modifies 2026 Itineraries for AIDAcosma Amid Scheduled Drydocking

AIDA Cruises has announced changes to its planned itineraries for the AIDAcosma ship, affecting two sailings in late 2026. This adjustment is due to the vessel’s first scheduled drydock, which is set for the autumn of that same year and has necessitated a revision of its deployment schedule alongside other ships in the fleet.

Originally scheduled to depart on November 29 and December 5, these sailings will now take place earlier on November 26 and December 3, starting from Palma de Mallorca. The first voyage is a 6-night Mediterranean cruise, with stops in Barcelona, Marseille, La Spezia, and Civitavecchia. The second journey is a 7-night itinerary to the Canary Islands, stopping at Málaga, Cádiz, Puerto de Rosario, and Arrecife, before concluding in Las Palmas.

The scheduled drydock is standard maintenance following AIDAcosma’s entry into service in 2021. Built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, this 180,000-ton ship is the second LNG-powered cruise vessel in the AIDA fleet, following AIDAnova from 2018. The maintenance period is crucial for upholding operational quality and ensuring the ship’s continued reliability.

Passengers with travel packages linked to the affected voyages will be notified about changes to their arrangements. AIDA Cruises is already reaching out to impacted guests and will provide more information regarding itinerary and accommodation updates. After the drydock, AIDAcosma is expected to return to its winter program in the Atlantic, mainly serving popular destinations like the Canary Islands and Madeira during the colder months.
