Disney Cruiseline’s New Ship, Disney Destiny, Sets Sail for Sea Trials Ahead of November Launch
DCL’s latest ship, Disney Destiny, is currently undergoing sea trials in the North Sea after being transferred from Meyer Werft via the Ems River. These trials mark the final step before the ship is handed over and scheduled to enter service on November 20, 2025.
Following its conveyance through Germany to Eemshaven, Destiny will be subjected to extensive system tests to ensure its seaworthiness, stability, propulsion, safety systems, and overall shipboard operations.
The inaugural voyage is planned as a four-night cruise to the Bahamas, departing from Fort Lauderdale. This journey includes stops at Disney’s private destinations: Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay.
