Storyland Studios Unveils Plans for New Pavilion at MSC Ocean Cay’s Marine Conservation Center
Storyland Studios has announced a collaboration with MSC Cruises and the MSC Foundation to design a new pavilion at the Marine Conservation Center located on Ocean Cay in the Bahamas. This facility, which opened in April 2025, focuses on advancing research, education, and coral restoration.
The Marine Conservation Center acts as a hub for marine biologists, scientists, students, and visitors, featuring interactive displays, a lecture hall, a bio-lab, and a coral nursery on land. It is also central to the MSC Foundation’s Super Coral Reefs program.
Storyland Studios will leverage its expertise in experience design to create a pavilion that enriches visitor engagement and supports the MSC Foundation’s conservation efforts. The design aims to make complex scientific work accessible and inspiring, embodying MSC’s destination development philosophy by carefully considering visitor flow and storytelling elements to promote environmental stewardship.
MSC Foundation leaders emphasize that the pavilion will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational capacity of the Marine Conservation Center, offering the millions of visitors to Ocean Cay an opportunity to deepen their understanding of coral ecosystems and the challenges they face.
