MSC Poesia Set for Major Refurbishment Ahead of Alaska 2026 Season
MSC Cruises has announced an extensive refurbishment of the MSC Poesia, set to take place ahead of the ship’s debut Alaskan season in the summer of 2026. This major drydock project will enhance passenger experience by introducing the exclusive MSC Yacht Club, designed for luxury and comfort, along with new dining options, upgraded wellness facilities, and improvements throughout public spaces.
The MSC Yacht Club will feature 63 newly designed suites across five categories, including ocean-view balconies and family-friendly options. Notably, the Royal Suite will accommodate up to six guests with amenities like a private whirlpool and a spacious 78-square-meter terrace. Every suite will come with marble bathrooms, a Nespresso machine, complimentary mini-bar, premium linens, and 24-hour room service.
Access to the Yacht Club includes perks such as a private sundeck with hot tubs and bar facilities, a dedicated restaurant, and the luxurious Top Sail Lounge with stunning ocean views. Additional enhancements to public areas include a new steakhouse (Butcher’s Cut), a revamped sushi venue (Kaito Sushi Bar), a sports bar (All-Stars Sports Bar), and improved spa and gym facilities featuring an ocean-view sauna and expanded fitness amenities.
The refurbished MSC Poesia will be based in Seattle from May to September 2026, offering seven-night cruises to destinations like Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria, BC. Following the Alaskan season, the ship will transition to Caribbean and Central America itineraries during the winter of 2026-2027, including Panama Canal crossings between Seattle and Miami.
